I kinda have a tendency to sit around here for a while, attempting to think of something to put together for an update, post, whatever, and then it hits me like a ton of bricks: I really don't have shit to write about.
I kinda wish my life was more than the typical routine: wake up, go to work, come back home, maybe kick it with some friends and play games. Doesn't really give me much to even write about or make for anything interesting, though. |

- Got paid yesterday. After going back and forth to Sacramento for two weeks, transportation money drained pretty much all my funds, it's nice to have money again so I can do regular things with no problem, like buying food.
- Picked up Metal Slug 7 at Gamestop, I highly suggest that anybody who has a Gamestop near them go and do so as well simply for the fact that it's $15. Practically a steal.
- Speaking of purchases, after picking up my Xbox, I've gotten Saint's Row 2, Street Fighter IV, and Crackdown. Got a couple of arcade games, too. Still thinking of anything else I'd like to play but I need to finish up what I've got to start with.
- Such is the same case with watching animu as well. Huge backlog, too much to catch up on. Slowly been making progress though.
- I have a ton of money (just slightly over $2000 this pay period) and nothing to spend it on. I've got a ton of money saved up for my car as well, but I haven't been looking enough..
- Arcana Heart 2's port is completely disgusting. Lag on supers and some specials, graphical and sound errors all over the place. Part of me is torn between forgetting about it and moving on, and the other just wants to bite the bullet and just take it for what it is since I'll likely never see an arcade machine of the game near here.
- Got Pokemon Platinum a while ago, but I haven't been playing it much. General business during the day prevents that :(
That pretty much covers anything meaningful for the past month. Not much now that I look at it. :\ |

I'd say that it's about time this thing is due for actual entries aside from a meme or a 'lulz' post or something.
So... the past year.
Regarding 2008, aside from periods of excruciating boredom, It's not a year I had any real problems yet, I accomplished a whole lot of what I wanted to do. I got out a whole lot more, met a lot of new people, got better at stuff I wanted to do, and I devoted a lot more free time to hobbies and other stuff I enjoyed.
Of course there were some downers, such as the big dilemma I had early on regarding what I wanted to do, which eventually ended up with me putting school on hold, and then my computer got stolen soon after.
I did however, end up getting a much, much better job than I've ever had and despite California's retarded budget crisis, I enjoy it a lot and the pay is excellent. The extra pay I made is great, and while it is tiring commuting to work five days a week, it's nowhere near as bad as I had originally figured it would be. Those hours in the morning prior to work and sitting around at the coffee shop and the bus ended up being used for animu watchin'/VN progress/random internet and other stuff.
Most importantly, I've finally saved up for a car, after putting it off for I don't know how long due to crappy pay or no job at all. But I'd really like the transportation now so I can cruise over to SJSU or SVGL and up to Sac and stuff like that at my leisure, rather than having to ask for rides or buy train tickets and such.
So whats next? Time to save to move out this year, once the transportation matter is settled. Housing out here is a problem, but maybe I can find somewhere for cheap somewhere down the line. I'll get to that as it comes along.
Anyway, here's to 2009 following through with the foundation that the previous year set!

quitting mervyns, fuck that place. working there only on weekends was cool at first but now I'm working 7 days a week and I'm constantly feeling exhausted day after day after day.
